1958 Buick Special Coupe

This 1958 Buick Special Coupe is an absolute time warp back to the era of US classic cars where they strongly believed the more chrome, the better! The big body American cruisers of the 50s are certainly desirable among collectors and enthusiasts today. This particular car has been through a restoration some time ago and has been fully repainted in a white over red colour scheme. The chrome work, which is a phenomenal amount, has all been redone on the car during the restoration and presents well all round. The two door coupe body style is one of the most sought after in these cars with its low roof line and pillarless side glass for that open air feeling. The car sits lowered over a set of steel wheels with original hubcaps and wide white wall tyres.

The interior is spacious with bench seats front and rear and enough room to comfortably seat six. It has been neatly trimmed back to factory style with the original steering wheel a cool feature front and centre. The car runs the original 364ci Nail Head V8 engine pairs to a Dynaflow automatic transmission. Features include Treadle-vac factory power brakes and power steering. The car retains the original throttle pedal activated starter to fire it up hands free.

This is an awesome classic big body American cruiser that is built for comfort and style. These Buicks don’t come up very often and this is a great honest example.
