Phillips, 27, was named in Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad for the upcoming friendly against Australia and Euro 2024 qualifier versus Italy.
Kalvin Phillips was signing autographs while at England training
One fan asked him for a game of rock paper scissors
Phillips and the fan threw up paper on their first go
Phillips and the fan then both drew up rock on their second round
After five rounds Phillips emerged victorious with his scissors cutting paper
Then, in a kind gesture, a grinning Phillips removed his training top and gave it to the little supporter.
The video was captioned: “Kalvin Phillips definitely gets it ❤️.
“We had the privilege of going to meet the England players after training at St George’s Park & @Kalvinphillips made sure FBB young person Mlu had a moment he’ll never forget ❤️.”
Responding to the vid, one fan online said: “Such a good human being, I think this is why us Leeds fans take it somewhat personally when others go in on him.”
A second wrote: “He is a quality young man.”
A third added: “Seems a really good lad, hoping he gets a move in the window to a club that will use him.”
The loss left the young fan reeling
In a kind gesture Phillips then took of his training top and handed it to the fan
