Hugh Jackman’s latest Instagram post has left some of his fans wondering how he’s doing after his divorce.
The Wolverine actor shared two snaps on his Instagram with the caption: “Entirely too close. #moods.” The first photo showed the 55-year-old act staring at the camera from behind reflective aviator sunglasses. Hugh is in a light blue jumper and the look on his face could be described as sad.
His eyebrows are slightly furrowed from behind his sunglasses, with worry wrinkles between his furrowed brows. His mouth is in a straight line that slightly droops at the ends. His look could be perceived as lost in thought, and very different from the smiling and upbeat Hugh.
Fans of the actor rallied in his comments, wanting to cheer up the possibly sad star. “We have all been there. Completely get it. Hope your day gets better,” one person wrote.
Another added: “Looking a little serious there, Hugh.” One fan asked: “Where is that beautiful smile we all know, and love?”
Hugh recently went through a huge life change. He and his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, announced their separation in September of this year and even unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The couple’s joint statement read: “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
They first met in 1995 while starring together on an Australian television show. Hugh told TODAY in 2018: “I knew two weeks into meeting Deb that we were going to be together for the rest of our lives.”
Deborra-Lee and Hugh married a year after they met in Australia. The couple adopted two children, Oscar Maximillian and Ava Eliot, after dealing with years of fertility issues.
After his divorce, Hugh has been seen spending time with his celebrity friends like Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. Ryan and Hugh are starring in the newest Deadpool movie together that is currently in the process of being filmed.
Hugh was also seen attending a football game in New Jersey with Taylor Swift, Ryan, Blake, and actress Sophie Turner. The friends were there to support Taylor’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chief’s Travis Kelce.
