Magic Johnson and his wife “Cookie” Johnson took a week break from their extensive summer travels to reconnect.
He stated that at the Nautika Restaurant, the 63-year-old former NBA player and the 64-year-old former model “shared a beautiful night in Dubrovnik, Croatia”.
Posts to Instagram with the caption, “The view was spectacular and the food was amazing,” show Magic and his wife riding a carousel.
Magic stated that the Nautika Restaurant offered “amazing” dinners and was “right behind” Fort Lovrijenac, “where Game of Thrones was filmed!”
Johnson was forced to cut short his vacation and fly back to the US after it was revealed that he and others, including Josh Harris, the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, had purchased the Washington Commanders. The Wall Street Journal reports that on July 20, all 32 NFL owners agreed to a $6 billion transaction that gave the group control of the team.
During his time off from vacation, Magic Johnson touted the potential to become an NFL owner as a “great opportunity” on the Today show.
On July 21, Magic sobbed as he said to Today host Craig Melvin, “As a proud Black guy, it’s crucial to me to shatter these boundaries and go through these doors. “You’ve made me cry,” I said.
The NBA Hall of Famer declared, “I don’t know why God gave me these opportunities, but I’m going to excel, not only for myself, but for my family, and for all African Americans, making sure we can see [ourselves] in these seats. And I want everyone to understand that we are able to finish this project.
